MAKE A VIDEO = BE IN A PLAY

Please follow Shawn's lead so that we can complete our massive video project before opening night! Submit a one minute video of yourself smoking money.

The inciting incident of WALLFLOWER is when the main character, Milena, posts a video of herself smoking a dollar bill. The video goes viral and starts a revolution. These videos are the copy cat videos that the audience will see in a brady bunch styled collage.

Milena Price, Girl Guerrilla

Hiya!

My name is Anna Giles, and I play Milena Price in Wallflower.

To be honest with you, I kind of want to be Milena. I mean, barring the all of the trouble she gets into, she's what Tyra Banks would call fierce. She doesn't back down, or take no for an answer, and for someone so young, she's willing to change her perspective (well...eventually, she's willing to change her perspective). For all her faults, I admire and love her - which, for an actor, is pret-ty important. In fact, I think she's one of the best characters I've ever played. Don't tell the other ones.

Do you want to make a cameo in our play? We need beautiful faces like yours asap! It will only take a minute of your time. Follow the instructions below...

Rehearsal Update

I had the lovely opportunity to sit in on rehearsal last night... and it was AWESOME. I was supposed to be writing down blocking for Jay but I didn't do so well because I was watching the scene... and eating goldfish. But it was mostly because the scene was so dern good. Only like 10% because of the goldfish.

Here's Syd smoking a fork. Why you ask? See the play!

We're past the halfway point in rehearsals for Wallflower, and the entire team is stoked (fire reference) for the designer run on Wednesday!

This artwork really amped up our enthusiasm, courtesy of graphic design artist (and ninja) Jen Dorman. Please click on her name to check out her website - because she deserves to get paid more. Seriously. Have you ever seen such a perfect show poster? She hits the style, content and imagery in one (sophisticated) fell swoop. And it's cool. I mean, really cool.

And guess what people - your support can help to feed artists like Jen all over the country! We've got a NYC based playwright, a Chicago based graphic designer, a video consultant out of San Francisco and a rockin' team of 10 Seattle theatre makers - all doing this play because they love it and it NEEDS to be done.
